Sunny Days

I am here to report that we have had unbelievably glorious weather here in my little mountain hideaway; the best since we have been here, and I have come down with a horrible summer flu with a fever and pain all over. I was completely bed ridden until the locals produced some phenomenal drugs and now I am sitting up. yay. Thomas is now making me soup.
Speaking of Thomas, he says he thinks I got this because we were doing too much hard hiking too early, and I wore myself down, and yet as I lie here in my bed he is running up hill. Today he had a little excitement when he went into a pasture high up in the hills and found himself face to face with a bull (i will get a picture of it for you, it looks like Ferdinand from the children's book). There are very few of these around here...normally we only see cows, but this one was definitely male. Apparently it has gotten loose before and the farmer had to lure it back with salt (?)  and was pretty nervous about him himself. So don't ever say nothing happens here  in Lech.
The deluge of guests continues... five families so far....I hope I am recovered enough to meet the Italians and the Indian man training to be a monk.
If I am not better tomorrow, I will go down to the local doctor ...we know him well from all these winters here. I am pretty sure he prescribes schnapps for feverish women.

Schneider's tennis court with Omeshorn in background. Thomas and i hiked it in healthier days
